Our Management Team
Vice President, Sales
Tom Boyd is vice president of sales for Agri-Turf Distributing’s pest control and landscape market sectors.
He began his career in the specialty ag chemicals industry in 1976 as a field sales representative. Tom moved from distribution to manufacturing by taking a position as a regional manager with LiphaTech and, later, a senior sales position with Ciba-Geigy (Novartis). Tom is a member of the Pest Control Operators of California.
Donna Browne is a vice president of sales for Agri-Turf Distributing. She began her career in the specialty ag chemicals industry in 1977 as a field representative for a distributor based in Cerritos, California.
In the late 80s, Donna was promoted to sales manager and managed a team of 30 sales representatives across five western states. Her current focus is on customer relations, sales training, and value-added services. Donna is a licensed pest control advisor and a member of the Pest Control Operators of California.
Rick Foreman is the operations manager for Agri-Turf Distributing’s Fresno, California, facility.
Rick started selling urban farm equipment in Southern California in 1977 before moving into the specialty ag chemicals market. He relocated to Fresno in 1979 to facilitate the launch of a new branch in the Central Valley and has been actively involved in the industry ever since. Rick is a member of the Pest Control Operators of California.
Craig Laursen is Agri-Turf Distributing’s territory manager for specialty markets in the San Diego area. Craig started in California’s ag chem industry as a sales representative for Mycogen Corporation (acquired by Dow AgroSciences) in 1988. In 1995, he joined Syngenta as a Senior Technical Sales Representative, and later worked in sales for a large pest control company.
Craig is a graduate of Oregon State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Botany-Horticulture and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Craig holds a pest control advisor’s license in California and is an active member the Pest Control Operators of California.
Steven Plummer, CGCS, manages Agri-Turf Distributing’s expansion and growth in the golf market. Before joining Agri-Turf, Steve served as the general manager for Tustin Ranch Golf Club. Since 2007, he has managed Champion Golf Services Inc., providing professional staffing services for the golf industry.
Steve is a graduate of Kansas State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, specializing in turfgrass management. He is a certified golf course superintendent and a recognized leader in California’s golf industry, having served on the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau’s Board of Directors, and as a board member for the First Tee of Orange County.
Steve is also a past president of the California Golf Course Owner’s Association and the 2015 recipient of the Golf Course Owners Association’s Ted Horton Distinguished Service Award.
Marcy Sanchez is the procurement manager for Agri-Turf Distributing. She is responsible for product procurement, inventory management, and coordinating with operations to provide timely delivery to Agri-Turf’s customers.
Marcy works closely with manufacturer representatives to ensure Agri-Turf is current on the latest technologies available to the professional pest management, turf and landscape, and golf markets. She has an extensive background in the specialty chemical industry having served in customer service and accounting positions prior to the move into purchasing.
Marcy is a graduate of Long Beach State University where she earned a degree in Business Management.
Chuck Synold is vice president and regional manager for Agri-Turf Distributing’s Central Coast and Central Valley markets. He is responsible for operations and sales in this region.
Chuck began his career in the specialty ag chemicals industry in 1981 as a field representative for a California-based distributor. He has been very active in the pest control, vector and vegetation management markets throughout his markets. He has served as past president of the California Weed Science Society. Chuck is a member of the Pest Control Operators of California and a licensed Pest Control Advisor.
Rich Records is the president and founding member of Agri-Turf Distributing. He began his sales career in the specialty ag chemicals industry in 1975 working for a distributor in California. He moved from field sales into management, running distribution centers in the northern and southern regions of the state.
As president, Rich works closely with suppliers and coordinates marketing efforts to expand Agri-Turf’s presence in California. Records is an active member of the Pest Control Operators of California, and a former board member of Primera. He is a licensed pest control advisor.
Lon Records is the chief executive officer for Agri-Turf Distributing. He began his career in the specialty chemical industry with Chevron (Ortho) in the late 60s. In 1972, he joined Target Specialty Products in Gardena, California, as a sales representative. His leadership skills emerged early on, and soon he was promoted to sales manager, branch manager, and then president, a position he held from 1982 to 2012.
Lon has also served in leadership positions for the Western Plant Health Association (WPHA) and United Producers, Formulators & Distributors Association (UPFDA). In addition to reporting to Agri-Turf’s board of directors, his focus is on market development, supplier relations, and long-term growth.
